When I was a kid, there were a lot of still cameras around. But I only had one of my own: Киев-30 (Kiev/Kyiv-30). It is a very simple non-electronic 16mm film camera with a 17x13mm frame (2x crop factor).
The expired film, the small frame size, the lack of my experience resulted in very bad pictures. This camera is very demanding for a photographer.
Soon I stopped using the camera. And I returned to photography only in 2003-2004, this time with digital cameras.
However, in 2006 I bought the Pentax Z-1 (a 35mm film autofocus SLR with the Pentax K mount).
(Pentax *ist Ds DSLR and Pentax Z-1 SLR)
All in all, it is a good camera, but at that point, this camera and film shooting left me cold. I gave the camera away.
But today I want to return to film photography. This time in B&W (with "classic" negative processing, not BW400CN with C-41). I want a simple camera. And I will try to develop a film myself. I won't go to optical printing, the film will be scanned.
I have the Braun Paxette II BL film camera, but it is broken (as I expected). So I am looking for a cheap used camera. I have a few models in mind.
